No need for introduction this lady played lead role of Lieutenant Ellen Ripley, the protagonist of the original Alien Science fiction action film series. Sigourney was not the first female action hero, but she was one of the first "final girl" archetypes to defeat a villain without any help or rescue from a man.
- She set the standard for a new kind of cinematic female action hero, one that was tough as nails and dynamic enough to stand front and centre in a major blockbuster, not to mention an entire film series. -
